To estimate the effects of some fertilizers recommended to cabbage crop, on the immature development, sexual reproduction and longevity of cabbage aphid Brevicoryne brassicae, this research was developed under greenhouse conditions from May to September 2004. The experimental design used was that of complete randomized blocks, with eight treatments and six replications. The fertilizers and respective doses applied were as follows : () 60 t ha- of processed cattle manure, (2) 30 t ha- of processed cattle manure +t ha- of NPK, (3) 40 t ha- of processed bird manure, (4) 20 t ha- processed bird manure +t ha- of NPK, (5) 6 t ha- of earthworm humus, (6) 3 t ha- of earthworm humus +t ha- of NPK, (7) 2 t ha- of NPK, and (8) check treatment. The organic fertilizers were incorporated in the soil 0 days before the transplant of the seedlings, and the synthetic fertilizers, with the formulation 04-4-08, were applied concomitantly with the seedlings transplantation. The results showed that none of the fertilizers used in this experiment had any effect on Brevicoryne brassicae development, fertility, and longevity.
