Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine under field conditions the accumulation and exportation of nutrients by seedless watermelon, hybrid Shadow. The experiment was carried out at Borborema, State of São Paulo, Brazil. The samples were collected 4, 28, 42, 56 and 70 days after transplanting (DAT), for the evaluation of dry matter and the accumulation and exportation of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S. Maximum dry matter (304.6 g plant-) was observed 68 DAT. The leaves and stems contributed with 34.4% of dry matter and fruits with 65.6%. The decreasing order of nutrients accumulated by the plants was: K>N>Ca>Mg>S>P. The fruits exported 47 kg ha- of N, 2.8 kg ha- of P, 04.4 kg ha- of K, 4.6 kg ha- of Ca, 5. kg ha- of Mg, and 3.2 kg ha- of S.Additional keywords: Citrullus lanatus ; plant nutrition.
